 GENERAL SUMMARY

As a Document Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient triage, management and organization of leave, disability, and accommodation case documents.

 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The job duties listed are essential functions of the position. However, other duties may be assigned, and may also be considered essential functions of the position.

The caregiver must be sufficiently fluent in the English language to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. The degree of fluency required will vary depending upon the nature of the position.

standards of their organization.

For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.

 

  • Develop, implement, and support document management strategies and procedures to ensure efficient triage of documents received and needing to be reassigned or forwarded to other key departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and organize documents, ensuring compliance and operational needs are met.
  • Sorting and storing the unassigned documents to check if new case intake is required.
  • Assisting the caregivers for missing documents over email/faxes.
  • Conduct and participate in regular audits regarding compliance, accuracy of processes and meeting or exceeding key metrics as established by leadership.
  • Support the training of colleagues on document management best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT/IS teams to troubleshoot and resolve any document management issues and provide recommendations for systemic improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
