Profile Background

We are looking for an experienced Application Rationalization Architect to lead initiatives that optimize our application portfolio strategy. This role demands a strategic thinker who can assess the current landscape, lead the modernization of applications, and drive the adoption of scalable and secure cloud-native solutions. You will work closely with business and technology leaders to rationalize applications duly aligned with business goals.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Overseeing the rationalization of the application portfolio, driving modernization, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Application Rationalization: Lead efforts to assess, streamline, and modernize the existing application portfolio. Identify redundancies, consolidate applications, and propose cloud-native or serverless alternatives where applicable.
  • Service Now: Understanding of service now and other organization application and meta data discovery and data mining techniques in discovery effort.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with development, product, infrastructure, and security teams to drive efficiencies and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Architect Scalable Infrastructure: Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures leveraging containers, microservices, and serverless technologies.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as a technical advisor and mentor to teams, providing thought leadership on DevOps, automation, and application modernization.
  • Cloud Transformation: Drive cloud adoption and migration strategies, focusing on performance, cost optimization, and compliance.
  • Develop comprehensive rationalization roadmaps that include recommendations for cloud migration, SaaS adoption, or legacy system upgrades.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform rationalization strategies and ensure alignment with IT strategic objectives.

Who are we looking for?

  • 10+ years of experience in IT with relevant experience of more 4+ into application rationalization space.
  • Strong background in application rationalization, modernization, and cloud migration (Azure preferably) strategies.
  • Strong skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including process maps and system architecture diagrams.
  • Proficiency in tools like ServiceNow or similar for application management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills having ability to critically analyze application functionality and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Expertise into building and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
  • Expertise at least into one of prevailing programming language such as C#.Net / Java / Python.

Nice to have:

  • DevOps Practices: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools.
  • Programming Skills: Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL) for data manipulation and automation tasks.
  • Collaboration Tools: Experience with collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for project tracking and documentation.
