POSITION OVERVIEW

The Associate Director, Strategy is a senior individual contributor and emerging leader responsible for driving high-impact strategic initiatives for Providence Global Center. This role sits at the intersection of corporate strategy, finance, and operational excellence — translating complex business challenges into actionable, data-driven strategies that accelerate growth, improve efficiency, and strengthen competitive positioning.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in financial analysis and FP&A, hands-on experience in operational process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent), and proven ability to develop and communicate board-level strategic narratives. This is a high-visibility role with direct access to C-suite stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning & Corporate Strategy

  • Lead the development and refinement of multi-year strategic plans, including market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, and growth opportunity identification
  • Partner with executive leadership to define strategic priorities, translate them into operational roadmaps, and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Design and facilitate strategy building, annual planning cycles, and board-level strategy reviews
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging business models, and macroeconomic signals to inform proactive strategic pivots

Finance & Business Performance

  • Develop and own financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives, M&A opportunities, capital allocation scenarios, and new market entries
  • Partner with FP&A and business unit finance teams to align strategic priorities with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles
  • Build investment cases (TCO reduction, scenario analysis) to support executive decision-making and Board presentations
  • Track and report on strategy execution KPIs, bridging financial performance to strategic objectives

Operational Excellence

  • Identify, scope, and lead operational improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or equivalent)
  • Drive process standardization and efficiency improvements across finance operations, shared services, and business unit workflows
  • Develop target operating model frameworks and capability assessments to support organizational transformation
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement — establishing metrics, governance, and accountability mechanisms

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Prepare executive-ready deliverables including strategy decks, business cases, performance dashboards, and board materials
  • Influence senior leaders without direct authority, building credibility through analytical rigor and pragmatic recommendations
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, consultants, and data providers
  • Mentor junior analysts and associate-level team members; contribute to team capability building

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 10–12 years of progressive experience spanning management consulting, corporate strategy, GCC Finance Ops, private equity, or corporate FP&A/finance
  • Demonstrable track record leading end-to-end strategic projects with measurable business impact
  • Hands-on experience in operational improvement programs (process mapping, root cause analysis, KPI design)
  • Exceptional structured problem-solving and synthesis skills; ability to build compelling narratives from complex data
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication; experience presenting to C-suite and/or Board audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field

Preferred

  • MBA from a top-tier institution or equivalent advanced degree
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
