The Opportunity

The Enterprise Business Applications & Technologies (EBAT) team focuses on Enterprise Business Platforms, Services, Products, Experiences for the 119K Caregivers (employees).

This executive will be responsible for the organization's ERP ecosystem, enterprise software engineering, platform architecture, business applications portfolio, and adoption of AI-driven capabilities that enable operational efficiency, caregiver productivity, and business innovation across various business functions like HR, WFM, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Real Estate & Security Operations, Physical Security and other non-clinical shared services.

This is a critical Software Engineering Leadership role for EBAT at Providence India.  This role is both enterprise in nature and start-up in mindset as we are looking to transform digital experiences of our Caregivers. The scope is both broad, across a business unit and deep, in terms of technical, process and continuous improvement required to build, run enterprise-wide product.  This role will work in a fast-paced environment, have constant demands for evolution, and will require strong problem resolution, decision making, communication and partnering skills. 

 

The role will serve as a strategic technology leader, partnering with business executives of finance, supply chain, HR, real estate & physical security; and digital leaders to modernize core business processes, accelerate platform transformation, and establish Providence as a leader in AI-enabled enterprise operations.

 

This role requires a balance of executive leadership, dealing with high degree of ambiguity, technology vision, operational rigor, and transformation expertise across ERP systems, cloud technologies, application engineering, enterprise integration, automation, advanced analytics, and Generative AI.

 

Key Responsibilites

 

Strategic Leadership & Transformation

  • Define and execute the multi-year strategy for Enterprise Business Applications and Technologies.
  • Lead modernization initiatives across ERP, enterprise platforms, and custom business applications.
  • Develop technology roadmaps aligned with Providence's Strategic Direction 2030 priorities.
  • Drive business value realization through platform simplification, standardization, consolidation, and automation.
  • Elevate the culture of innovation, agility, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.

 

ERP & Enterprise Applications Leadership

  • Own the strategy, governance, delivery, and operational performance of enterprise ERP platforms across Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Procurement, and related business functions.
  • Build strong partnerships with executive stakeholders to continuously improve business processes and user experience.
  • Ensure enterprise platforms are scalable, secure, reliable, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

 

Software Engineering & Platform Delivery

  • Lead high-performing engineering organizations responsible for enterprise applications, integrations, APIs, middleware, workflow platforms, and digital business solutions.
  • Evolve the modern engineering practices in the era of AI.
  • Drive adoption of reusable services, microservices architecture, API-first design, and enterprise integration standards.

 

AI, Automation & Intelligent Enterprise

  • Define and execute the AI strategy for enterprise business operations.
  • Identify and implement Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation capabilities that improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Partner with business leaders to deploy AI-driven solutions across Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and RESO.
  • Drive measurable business outcomes through AI-enabled process automation, knowledge management, intelligent assistants, predictive analytics, and digital workforce capabilities.

 

Operational Excellence

  • Manage a significant technology portfolio, budget, vendor ecosystem, and strategic partnerships.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, operational metrics, service health, and business outcomes.
  • Ensure application availability, performance, scalability, resilience, and cybersecurity compliance.
  • Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, and risk management initiatives for enterprise platforms.

 

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams including software engineers, architects, product managers, ERP specialists, program managers, AI practitioners, and business analysts.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top technology talent.
  • Build succession plans and leadership development programs.
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative, mission-driven culture aligned with Providence values.

 

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • 20+ years of Industry experience in technical roles, solid shipping, people management and leadership experience
  • 8+ years People management experience managing team performance, delivery, roadmap, mentoring & coaching
  • Empathy towards User base and focus on outcomes of the platform and team
  • Required Skills:
    • Fluent in Cloud Native Platforms – Oracle/ Azure (one of them atleast), Software Engineering, AI
    • Exposure to Oracle ERP is preferred.
    • Strong Architectural and Building Product Roadmap Experience.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science of Equivalent
