The Opportunity

We are seeking an innovative and visionary Software Engineering Leader to drive the next generation of AI-powered infrastructure platforms. This role will lead engineering teams focused on embedding AI across enterprise infrastructure domains including Cloud, On-Premises Infrastructure, End User Computing, and Endpoint Management, Dev Ops on Azure.

 

The ideal candidate is passionate about building products and accelerators that create measurable business impact, simplify operations, enhance reliability, and transform infrastructure management through AI and automation at a global level. This leader will define the engineering vision, build high-performing teams, and accelerate the adoption of intelligent infrastructure solutions across the enterprise and services.

 

Key Responsibilites

 

AI-Powered Infrastructure Innovation

  • Define and execute the engineering strategy for AI-enabled infrastructure platforms and capabilities.
  • Build intelligent solutions that enhance reliability, scalability, security, observability, and self-healing infrastructure operations.
  • Drive the adoption of Generative AI, AI Agents, Machine Learning, and Predictive Analytics across infrastructure ecosystems.

 

Technology Accelerator Development - Lead the creation of reusable technology accelerators, platforms, and frameworks across:

  • Cloud Infrastructure (Azure)
  • Infrastructure Operations
  • Endpoint & Device Management
  • Hybrid & On-Premises Infrastructure
  • Platform Engineering
  • IT Service Automation

 

Develop scalable solutions that improve engineering productivity, reduce operational costs, and accelerate modernization initiatives.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Drive enterprise infrastructure transformation leveraging Microsoft Azure and cloud-native technologies.
  • Architect resilient, scalable, and highly available infrastructure platforms.
  • Lead adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform engineering, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Drive end-to-end automation across infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, remediation, and lifecycle management.
  • Improve operational efficiency through intelligent automation and AI-driven workflows.

 

Leadership:

  • Attract, retain, and develop world class engineering talent in the organization
  • Promote and foster an organizational culture that is innovative, agile, flexible, and aligned to the mission and values of the organization
  • Identify and execute high-priority strategies to meet the data and information needs of Providence executives and managers
  • Ensure data quality and security across the enterprise including external data
  • Experience in People leadership handling large teams, complex transformation and success in building and growing teams
  • Manage performance with respect to budget, objectives, and customer expectations as required to meet operational, quality, and mission goals. 
  • Develop and provide guidance for negotiations with preferred information technology vendor contracts.  Manage key vendor and partner relationships.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelors/ Master’s Degree - computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 20 years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years leading engineering teams.
  • Proven experience building enterprise-scale platforms, products, or infrastructure systems.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience implementing AI/ML or Generative AI solutions in enterprise environments.
