Service Engineer – IAM : Directory & Authentication Services

Focus: Operations, Support & Platform Stability

 

Role Summary

The Service Engineer is responsible for day-to-day operational excellence, monitoring, and support of directory and authentication services. This role ensures stability while growing into deeper engineering capability.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Monitor identity services and respond to alerts and incidents.
  • Support authentication, MFA, and directory-related issues.
  • Execute standard changes and maintenance tasks.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Document runbooks, procedures, and operational knowledge.
  • Escalate systemic issues with strong technical context.

Platform Hygiene

  • Perform health checks, cleanup, and compliance tasks.
  • Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.

Automation Exposure

  • Execute automated workflows and gradually contribute improvements.
  • Learn identity engineering and security fundamentals.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years in IAM or directory services operations
  • Foundational knowledge of:
    • Entra ID / Azure AD
    • Active Directory
    • MFA and authentication flows
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
  • Desire to grow into senior engineering roles
