Service Engineer – IAM : Directory & Authentication Services
Focus: Operations, Support & Platform Stability
Role Summary
The Service Engineer is responsible for day-to-day operational excellence, monitoring, and support of directory and authentication services. This role ensures stability while growing into deeper engineering capability.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
- Monitor identity services and respond to alerts and incidents.
- Support authentication, MFA, and directory-related issues.
- Execute standard changes and maintenance tasks.
Incident & Problem Management
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Document runbooks, procedures, and operational knowledge.
- Escalate systemic issues with strong technical context.
Platform Hygiene
- Perform health checks, cleanup, and compliance tasks.
- Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
Automation Exposure
- Execute automated workflows and gradually contribute improvements.
- Learn identity engineering and security fundamentals.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–6 years in IAM or directory services operations
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Entra ID / Azure AD
- Active Directory
- MFA and authentication flows
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Desire to grow into senior engineering roles
