Position Overview

We are looking for a forward-thinking, data-driven Online Search Strategist with 6 to 9 years of experience to lead our organic growth engine. The search landscape is shifting rapidly beyond traditional search engines. In this role, you will not only oversee classic Search Engine Optimization (SEO), but you will also pioneer our strategies for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), ensuring our brand remains highly visible across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google’s AI Overviews.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical acumen in comprehensive website auditing, a thorough understanding of search algorithms, and a mastery of the modern digital marketing tool stack.

Key Responsibilities

1. Search Strategy & Innovation (SEO, AEO & GEO)

  • Develop and execute an end-to-end omnichannel organic search strategy that encompasses traditional search engines (Google, Bing) and AI-driven answer engines.
  • Optimize brand content, architecture, and data structures to ensure maximum citation and visibility in generative AI search experiences and LLM (Large Language Model) outputs.
  • Move beyond standard keyword research to build intent-based content strategies, focusing on conversational queries, long-tail natural language patterns, and structured data.

2. Technical Site Governance & Auditing

  • Lead regular, deep-dive technical audits of our web properties to evaluate indexability, crawl efficiency, Search visibility, site architecture, and rendering issues.
  • Implement and manage advanced Schema markup and JSON-LD configurations to maximize eligibility for rich snippets and AI crawler comprehension.
  • Collaborate closely with site management, UI/UX, content, product, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to strategies, and implement the best practices as per the technical findings.

3. Analytics, Tools & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor, analyse, and report on organic performance, user behaviour, and conversion metrics across the organic funnel. Candidate should have experience on web analytics reporting tools like, Adobe Analytics or GA4, search auditing tools like SEMRush, Profound, Google search console, or other similar platforms.
  • ​​Establish tracking frameworks to measure referral traffic and brand mentions originating from generative AI engines and chatbots. You should have good understanding of the channel attribution.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 6–9 years of dedicated experience in digital marketing, with a heavy emphasis on enterprise-level SEO and search strategy.
  • Proven understanding of how LLMs and generative search engines retrieve information, with practical ideas or frameworks for AEO and GEO.
  • Expert-level knowledge of technical optimization, including canonicalization strategies, structured tags, internationalization (hreflang), and JavaScript SEO.
  • The Digital Marketing Tool Stack: High proficiency with tools such as:
    • Crawl/Audit: Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl/Lumar, or Sitebulb.
    • Enterprise SEO/Analytics: Semrush, Profound, Ahrefs, BrightEdge, Google Search Console, and Adobe Analytics or GA4.
    • AI Tracking: Familiarity with emerging platforms tracking AI mentions and LLM visibility.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work alongside site management, content writers, developers, and product team.
  • Good to have skills:
    • Experience in healthcare domain who understands the US healthcare industry.
    • Have knowledge of Paid search, Email, Social media, and other digital marketing channels.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in managing organic search transitions during major website migrations or brand overhauls.
