Providence, Information Services organization is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design and support an enterprise and Data Center Network Wide Area Network systems within a large health care environment. 
The candidate will be part of a team responsible for all WAN and Data Center design and standards implemented across the PSJH system. They will ensure the efficient and reliable operation of all Network infrastructure and services while providing technical support and guidance to caregivers and stakeholders. The position requires a strong technical background, including expertise in SD-WAN and Data Center based technologies in a large enterprise environment. Success in the role requires excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. It is also important the candidate possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires the candidate performs all duties in a manner that promotes the Providence mission, values, and philosophy.
What will you be responsible for?
 As a Senior Network Service Engineer, you will be:
•    The personnel would be responsible for the WAN and Data Center Network tasks across the providence health system. 
•    Technologies utilized by the Network Engineer including VMWare Velocloud SDWAN, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI, Cisco ISR/ASR, Cisco ISE, Arista, Juniper, SolarWinds
•    The position also requires demonstrated competence in:
o     LAN/WAN technologies, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, Spanning Tree, SDWAN (Software Defined WAN)
•    Team is responsible for implementing approved changes and projects within the enterprise, enforcing operational standards and processes as well as maintaining daily operating records and required documentation. 
•    Identifies problem sources related to operations and effectively communicates with technical support staff to explain and assist with resolving incidents. Leads in initial, elevated, and critical level support for incident resolution and event management. 
•    Responsible for predictive analysis of the IT infrastructure to forecast capacity growth to ensure continued operations.  Primary On-Call support for service impacting events.   

What would your day look like?
Network administrator skills: 
•    Ability to understand and implement WAN and Data Center networks including topics such as OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, DHCP pools, and Ethernet. 
•    Proven skills with Cisco platforms such as Cisco Catalyst & Nexus Switches, Cisco ACI, Cisco ASR and ISR Routers, Arista. Experience with SDWAN is add-on.
Support Operations:
•    WAN SDWAN Data Center
•    Patch Management
•    Tier 2 & 3 Support
Monitoring:
•    Centralized Dashboard with backend monitoring through Solarwinds
•    Alert logs
Analysis and Reporting:
•    Proactive Trend and Log Analysis
•    Root Cause Analysis
ITIL Service Operations:
•    Change/Event/Incident/Problem Management
•    Request Fulfillment
Proven skills to provide technical, project and professional leadership of a technical team of Network Engineering.    
•    Proven skills in serving in the role of an escalation contact for a technical operations team. Proven skills in both verbal and written communication. 
•    Proven skills in the management of change and guiding the team through the change to meet the objectives of the organization. 
•    Proven skills in the developing and maintaining successful relationships with third-party service providers and hardware vendors. 
•    Proven skills with the compliance of ITIL and ITSM standards. 
•    Proven skills in planning, developing, and implementing a strategic architectural roadmap for the Providence WAN ad Data center Network to help achieve organizational goals. 
•    Proven skills in a breadth of technologies that assist in the support of security initiatives and vulnerability remediations.  
Who are we looking for?
•    B.Tech / B.E with 5-8 years of related experience.
•    Minimum of 5-8 years in the support of an enterprise Network environment.
•    Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Information Technology is essential, with a focus on Network (Cisco catalyst and Nexus Switches, ASR and ISR routers, ACI, Arista and SDWAN [Velocloud in add-on]).
