We are looking at Remote Patient Care Coordinator talent at India location to manage our Epic EHR In-Basket.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Health Science, healthcare administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Health Science, healthcare administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- MBA preferrable in Healthcare/ Hospital Administration
- 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical healthcare setting, with demonstrated knowledge in medical terminology and clinical workflows.
- Demonstrated excellence in attendance, reliability, punctuality in a fast-paced health care environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing workflows, patient volumes and service needs including cross coverage across teams and physical locations.
- Epic/MyChart proficiency, including in basket Message, Patient Lists, Referrals, Appointment Requests, discharge workflows and more.
- Demonstrated interest in professional growth, mentorship or precepting. Including onboarding and supporting new team members.
Job Description
- The remote patient care coordinator provides support services by working closely and communicating with the clinical team including providers, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to complete administrative and clinical responsibilities.
- The remote patient care coordinator will be performing various administrative, patient/providers communication and few duties while being aware and staying abreast with various legal and ethical protocols.
- Performing duties remotely/from Providence Global Centre location.
- Maintaining confidentiality of patient-related data, protected health information (PHI) and comply with HIPPA and institutional policies.
Responsibilities
- Managing Epic In basket for different workflows such as Referral Requests, Appointment Requests and more.
- Ensuring that all the messages have the necessary and accurate response and actions as per the standard operating procedures.
- Time Management: Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, as they may need to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using technology and software tools commonly used in remote healthcare, such as electronic health records (EHR) systems, telehealth platforms, and other communication tools, is important. Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members remotely.
- Medical knowledge: A good understanding of medical terminology, basic medical procedures, and healthcare regulations is necessary to fulfill the responsibilities.
- Attention to detail: The Remote Patient Care Coordinator must be detail-oriented, as accurate documentation and data entry are crucial for maintaining patient records and providing quality care.
- Language proficiency: Depending on the patient population and employer requirements, fluency in one or more languages, including English is necessary.
