Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer – M365

Location: [Hyderabad] Job Type: [Full-time] Department: ESI Reports To: IT Manager

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer – M365 to design, implement, and manage automation solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PowerShell scripting, Power Automate and M365 administration, ensuring seamless automation, improved efficiency, and enhanced security. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying automation opportunities, optimizing workflows, and integrating M365 services while maintaining compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using Power Automate, Logic Apps, and PowerShell.
  • Automate administrative tasks across M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Teams.
  • Implement governance policies, security controls, and compliance measures in M365 automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues, optimizing performance and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for bulk operations, reporting, and monitoring within M365.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and design automation solutions.
  • Integrate M365 with third-party applications using APIs and connectors.
  • Ensure data integrity, access control, and best security practices within automation workflows.
  • Monitor automation service health, performance, and incident escalations.
  • Stay updated on M365 developments, new features, and automation best practices.
  • Provide training, documentation, and guidance on automation best practices to IT teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience managing and automating M365 services in an enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting, Power Automate and automation frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of M365 components, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, and third-party integrations.
  • Deep understanding of security, compliance, and governance best practices in M365.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex automation workflows and optimize performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator, or AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies.
  • Background in ITIL practices and service management.
  • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automation.
