Profile Background

We are seeking a Lead ServiceNow ITSM Developer with advanced expertise in Service Portal and Catalog development, specializing in Identity and Access Management (IAM) workflows and integrations. This role will drive strategic initiatives to deliver secure, automated, and user-friendly service experiences across healthcare IT environments. You will lead the design of IAM-related catalog items, orchestrate complex integrations, and ensure compliance with healthcare and security standards while mentoring the development team.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Lead development and customization of ServiceNow ITSM applications, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.
  • Architect IAM-focused Service Catalog items (e.g., user provisioning, access requests, role assignments) with automated workflows and approval chains.
  • Design and implement advanced Service Portals, leveraging widgets, UI pages, and client/server-side scripting for secure and intuitive user experiences.
  • Drive integration strategies with IAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, Ping Identity) and ensure seamless connectivity with HR systems and CMDB.
  • Collaborate with healthcare stakeholders to translate complex IAM and ITSM requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, security policies, and data governance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize portal components, catalog workflows, and IAM integrations for performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting best practices and platform governance.

Who are we looking for?

  • 5-8 years of ServiceNow development experience, with proven expertise in ITSM, Service Portal, and IAM-related workflows.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript, Glide APIs, UI Policies, Business Rules, Flow Designer, and Integration Hub.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with IAM systems (Azure AD, Okta, etc.) and automating identity lifecycle processes.
  • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS–ITSM) highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS, AngularJS, or React for advanced portal customization.
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Studio, App Engine, and orchestration for IAM workflows.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes, healthcare service delivery models, and security compliance frameworks.
