Role Summary

Lead the strategy, architecture, engineering delivery, and adoption of Providence's Observability and Operational Intelligence Platform (iTelemetry). This role combines people leadership, platform engineering, product ownership, observability expertise, and AI-powered operations to build scalable solutions that transform telemetry into operational intelligence, automation, and proactive incident prevention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team.
  • Own platform strategy, roadmap, architecture, and delivery.
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, Operations, and Reliability Engineering teams to drive platform adoption and business outcomes.
  • Build cloud-native solutions using React, TypeScript, APIs, Microservices, Azure, and Kubernetes.
  • Lead development of telemetry ingestion, correlation, analytics to build clinical and operational intelligence capabilities.
  • Drive AIOps capabilities including event correlation, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, automated root cause analysis, self-healing, and self-validation.
  • Establish engineering best practices for scalability, reliability, security, automation, and quality.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and translate business needs into platform capabilities. 

Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering leadership.
  • Experience owning platform strategy, architecture, product direction, and engineering execution.
  • Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and .NET, Java, Node.js, or Python.
  • Experience building cloud-native distributed systems, microservices, Kubernetes, and Azure-based platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Observability, AIOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and Clinical and Operational Intelligence.
  • Experience building telemetry-driven platforms supporting real-time operational insights and automation.
  • Strong exposure and experience in AI/ML, agentic workflows, intelligent incident management, predictive analytics, and autonomous operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and product mindset.
