The Controls and Compliance team at Providence India enables Providence’s vision by ensuring strong internal controls and compliance practices that support responsible healthcare innovation.  The team closely partners with business process owners to design and strengthen controls, address risks proactively, enables oversight of controls posture and embed compliance so that Providence can continue to serve patients and communities responsibly. 

 

 What will you be responsible for?

Principal Analyst – Internal Controls & Compliance will play a critical role in strengthening Providence India’s internal control environment and compliance posture. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the controls framework, executing controls testing, supporting remediation efforts, and acting as a trusted advisor to business and process owners on controls and compliance matters. The role also supports third‑party risk management and contributes to compliance awareness initiatives across the organization.

  

What would your week look like?

  1. Partner closely with business and process owners to maintain, and continuously improve the internal controls framework, including Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), ensuring they remain relevant, practical, and aligned to business risks.
  2. Perform hands‑on controls testing and reviews to assess design and operating effectiveness, identify gaps, and clearly articulate meaningful observations that drive improvements.
  3. Work with stakeholders to define, track, and validate remediation actions, ensuring control gaps are closed in a timely and sustainable manner.
  4. Design and evolve controls frameworks for external services client engagements, ensuring contractual commitments are supported by appropriate risk mitigation and control mechanisms.
  5. Act as a trusted advisor and single point of contact for control-related matters, providing practical guidance to business stakeholders.  
  6. Support the organization’s compliance awareness efforts by contributing to training, communication, and education initiatives that strengthen a culture of integrity and compliance.
  7. Drive third party due diligence and risk management activities, including identification of key risks, and recommendation of mitigation measures.

 

Who are we looking for?

  1. 8-12 years of experience in internal controls and SOX assessments in Big Fours
  2. Hands on expertise in process documentation, re-engineering and development of control registers at entity level
  3. Qualified CA or MBA with good academic record
  4. Certifications such as CIA are an added advantage
  5. Good verbal and written communication skills
  6. Client-facing experience is preferred, not mandatory
  7. High level of organizing, documenting, record keeping and publishing skills
  8. Strong understanding of methodologies and approaches in conducting risk and control reviews, gap analysis, and impact assessments
  9. Analytical thinking, project management skills & ability to develop innovative approach
  10. Strong domain knowledge as well as understanding of key business processes like O2C, P2P, HR payroll, legal and statutory compliances, entity level controls, process controls, IT General and Application controls
  11. Understanding of control rationalization, optimization, effectiveness and efficiency
  12. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
