Healthcare Intelligence is the pillar that focuses on creating intelligent products within Providence and provides unique opportunities in Product Development, Product Design, Data Engineering, Operations, Data Science, BI Reporting and Data Analytics on cloud stack. What will you be responsible for?

Data Scientists provide support to mission & business critical operations across the system. They are responsible for applying analytical creativity to solving problems using data, and for building production quality, scalable tech and platforms to support these solutions. Analytical tools may include (but are not necessarily limited to) statistical analysis and modeling, machine/deep learning, process optimization/automation, natural language processing, image recognition, forecasting, and geospatial analytics. Data Scientists are required to be intensively collaborative and need to work efficiently with teams and individuals across the system.

As a Principal Data Scientist, you will

  • Contribute to creating a robust vision for AI/ML team within Providence India. Maintain healthy backlog of futuristic product features and technical capabilities. Perform and set review standards, own complicated modules, and help the team with design and development approach as needed.
  • Guide other Data Scientists by coaching and mentoring team members to scale up their technical abilities.
  • Engage with stakeholders globally and influence decisions related to product goals, features, and priorities.
  • Champion healthy team culture aligned with the mission and values of Providence i.e., Integrity, Compassion, Dignity, Respect, Justice
  • Create forecasting and machine learning models by working along with business analyst, product managers and data analytics engineers in deriving insights.
  • Show an ever-learning mindset to strengthen understanding of global health care systems. Participate and contribute to industry learning and stay up to date with latest trends and findings.

Who are we looking for?

  • 12 years + industry experience with an educational background in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Analytics, Biology, or other science, math, and technology intensive field. (Bachelor's/Master’s Degree)
  • Should possess strong math, technology, business, and communication skills (and should be exceptional in at least one of those areas).
  • Experience in conducting diverse statistical analyses of complex, high dimensional datasets and preparing reports and visualizations to support findings. Demonstrated expertise in Machine Learning via Python or R.
  • Experience in developing & deploying machine learning models using modern, open-source tools and frameworks. Experience in Deep learning is a plus
  • Excellent ability to design, prioritize, plan, and track large scale products.
  • Background in healthcare system is a plus.
