Job Title: Payroll Lead

 

Location: PGC Hyderabad

 

Job Summary:

As a Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for providing best in class ongoing support of Oracle Fusion Payroll, ensuring stable, compliant, and scalable payroll operations along with review of current configuration opportunities, gaps, improvisation & enhancement capability to ensure smooth functioning of critical & ongoing Payroll Operations with minimal disruption for the US Payroll Legislation, adept in Federal, State & Local regulatory requirements. Strong hold on Payroll Costing issue resolution & close of accounts with Finance teams. Collaborate closely with multiple teams to support a multi-disciplinary & platform solution, in line with established business processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert & Point of Contact for Payroll
  • Must have at least 2 E2E implementation & 3 project support experience with deep expertise in US Payroll Legislation & Taxation across all payroll cycles (regular, offcycle, retro, & terms)
  • Oversee payroll tax processing and statutory reporting, including quarterly and yearend activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness
  • Strong expertise in configuring payroll costing setups and rules, and in resolving Finance-reported gaps/issues during Accounting Processes
  • Hands-on collaboration with multiple finance functions, including General Ledger and Cash Management teams, to ensure end-to-end financial alignment
  • Expertise in Payroll-to-GL integration for timely reconciliation of financial statements and period closures
  • Ability to design and partner with technical teams to develop custom solutions or tools, when required, to address GL and accounting issues
  • Capability to enhance or re-engineer existing processes and system functionalities to support smooth and timely financial period close
  • Proven experience working with Oracle Support (via Service Requests, CCC, etc.), to identify and close product gaps/defects
  • Provide both hand-on & strategic production support during critical payroll cycles, proactively identifying risks and ensuring uninterrupted payroll execution
  • Drive continuous optimization of payroll processes, conducting system health checks, reviewing controls, and re-engineering workflows to maximize business value and adoption
  • Monitor Oracle Fusion HCM product roadmap, quarterly releases, legislative updates, CWBs, assessing business impact & guiding effective adoption of regulatory and product changes
  • Translate business and finance challenges into functional solutions, improvement roadmaps, and system enhancements that drive long-term operational efficiency
  • Certified Payroll professionals will be preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience with Oracle US Payroll Legislation with hands-on implementation and support experience
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
