Job Description

Principal Consultant – Business Resilience (ITDR & BCP)

Location: Hyderabad, India  |  Experience: 12–15+ Years  |  Role Level: Principal Consultant

Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Business Resilience professional to lead Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, and Operational Resilience initiatives across the organization. The role will focus on improving organizational preparedness, strengthening recovery capabilities, enhancing resilience across critical business and technology services, and enabling leadership to make informed decisions on resilience risks and recovery maturity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise Business Resilience, Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, and Operational Resilience initiatives.
  • Establish resilience strategies, governance models, recovery frameworks, and program operating mechanisms.
  • Advise leadership on resilience risks, preparedness levels, recovery capabilities, and improvement priorities.
  • Drive business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning, resilience testing, tabletop exercises, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify critical services, recovery dependencies, and resilience gaps.
  • Support development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery Plans, crisis response playbooks, and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor program maturity, track remediation actions, and provide leadership reporting on resilience posture and recovery readiness.
  • Coordinate with risk, technology, security, operations, compliance, and business teams to improve end-to-end resilience capabilities.
  • Support incident, crisis, and major disruption response planning by ensuring defined recovery roles, escalation paths, and communication procedures.
  • Promote a culture of preparedness, accountability, and resilience across business and technology functions.

Required Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of experience in Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience, Risk Management, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, leading, or maturing enterprise resilience programs.
  • Strong understanding of resilience governance, recovery planning, business impact analysis, crisis management, and continuity testing practices.
  • Experience partnering with business and technology stakeholders to improve organizational resilience and service recovery capabilities.
  • Proven ability to develop long-term resilience strategies, program roadmaps, operating models, and maturity improvement plans.
  • Experience presenting resilience risks, recovery capabilities, test outcomes, and program maturity to senior leadership.
  • Strong consulting, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive resilience improvements across complex enterprise environments.

Preferred Certifications

CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent certifications are desirable.
