What will you be responsible for? 

The Principal Wireless Infrastructure Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise‑scale wireless networks. This role provides deep technical expertise across Cisco and Arista wireless and switching platforms, drives wireless modernization initiatives, and ensures secure, resilient, and high‑performance connectivity across clinical and corporate environments. The role partners closely with Network Engineering, Security, Clinical IT, Infrastructure, and external OEM vendors to deliver scalable, standards‑based wireless solutions aligned with Zero Trust and enterprise network strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end architecture, design, and engineering of enterprise wireless networks across large campus, hospital, and office environments
Define and maintain wireless reference architectures, standards, and design patterns for Cisco and Arista ecosystems
Drive modernization initiatives including Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7, location‑based services, and high‑density clinical environments
Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of wireless infrastructure supporting mission‑critical applications
Act as the technical authority for Cisco (Catalyst, Meraki, DNA Center, ISE) and Arista (CloudVision, switching integration) platforms
Lead OEM engagement for roadmap reviews, feature adoption, escalations, and lifecycle management
Evaluate new technologies, features, and firmware releases; lead POCs and production rollouts
Integrate wireless networks with Cisco ISE, Zero Trust, and micro‑segmentation solutions
Ensure compliance with healthcare and enterprise security standards, policies, and audit requirements
Provide Tier‑4/SME escalation support for complex wireless incidents and performance issues
Drive proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and define preventive measures to reduce recurring issues
Leverage automation and analytics using DNA Center, CloudVision, APIs, Python, and Ansible
Standardize configurations, health checks, and reporting to improve operational efficiency
Partner with tools teams to enhance observability and wireless telemetry
Serve as a technical mentor to senior and junior network engineers
Review designs, validate changes, and provide technical governance for wireless initiatives
Contribute to knowledge management, documentation, and best practices
Understanding Next-gen Wireless Infrastructure and implement as per client requirements.  
Hands-on experience in working with tools like Service Now, Solar winds, Cisco prime, Cisco ISE etc.  
Azure Environment, VMs, databased or similar cloud experience will be a plus. 

Experience
10+ years of enterprise networking experience with deep specialization in wireless infrastructure
Proven experience designing and supporting large‑scale campus or hospital wireless networks
Hands‑on expertise with Cisco Wireless (Catalyst/Meraki) and Arista switching integrations

Technical Skills
Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, Catalyst 9K, Meraki Dashboard
Wi‑Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/6E/7), RF design, surveys, and capacity planning
Network Access Control (Cisco ISE), 802.1X, EAP‑TLS
Routing & Switching fundamentals (OSPF, BGP, VLANs, QoS)
Network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs
Monitoring and analytics tools (DNA Center, CloudVision, SolarWinds or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications
CCNP/CCIE Wireless or Enterprise certifications
CWNA / CWDP / CWAP certifications
Experience in healthcare, regulated, or mission‑critical environments
Exposure to Zero Trust and micro‑segmentation architectures
