Principal NetScaler Engineer – Citrix Platform & Infrastructure

   Role Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NetScaler Engineer to join our Citrix Platform & Infrastructure Team. This role demands deep technical expertise i n   managing and optimizing Citrix NetScaler environments (SDX, VPX, ADM, WAF) and supporting the infrastructure that powers our enterprise-wide Citrix estate. The i   deal candidate will be a hands-on expert in load balancing, security, automation, and infrastructure integration across hybrid hosting platforms.

   Key Responsibilities:

    NetScaler Engineering & Operations

  • Deploy, configure, and manage NetScaler ADCs (VPX/SDX), Citrix ADM service.
  • Setup and maintain Load-Balancing, Content Switching, AAA, and Gateway Virtual Server configurations, including SSL/TLS Certificate Management.
  • Execute firmware upgrades, vulnerability assessments, and security remediations.
  • Implement Citrix Web Application Firewall (WAF) for critical applications.
  • Manage high availability (HA) configurations and disaster recovery planning.
  • Monitor and report on NetScaler performance, capacity, and availability.
  • Conduct vulnerability scans and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Standardize configurations to meet industry and internal compliance standards.
  • Own and lead the technological elements and mentor junior engineers.
  • Provide enablement and training on NetScaler best practices.

    Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler (SDX, MPX, VPX, ADM, WAF).
  • Proven track record managing large-scale NetScaler deployments.
  • Expertise in Citrix Access Gateway SSL VPN, Unified Gateway, SSL offloading & policies.
  • Experience with deploying and managing NetScaler on different platforms including Azure.
  • Strong understanding of Citrix infrastructure components and hosting platforms.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience handling high priority, high impact incidents.
  • Familiarity with correlated technologies like networking, storage, security, AD/authentication, GPOs, etc.
