# Job Description – ServiceNow Architect / Senior Developer

## IRM / BCM / SecOps

## Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced **ServiceNow Architect / Senior Developer** with strong expertise in **Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Security Operations (SecOps)** to lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on platform expertise, strong solutioning capability, and the ability to translate governance, resilience, risk, and cyber-security requirements into scalable ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and user experiences.

# Key Responsibilities

## ServiceNow Architecture & Solution Design

* Lead end-to-end architecture, solution design, and technical delivery for ServiceNow implementations across IRM, BCM, and SecOps.
* Define scalable, secure, and maintainable platform architecture, development standards, governance controls, and integration patterns.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, cyber-security teams, risk/compliance teams, and enterprise architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
* Provide technical leadership for enterprise ServiceNow implementations and enhancements.
* Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, platform governance, performance optimization, and scalability.

## Integrated Risk Management (IRM)

* Architect and implement ServiceNow IRM / GRC solutions including:
  * Risk Management
  * Policy & Compliance
  * Audit Management
  * Regulatory Change Management
* Configure risk registers, controls, entity frameworks, indicators, issue management, and remediation workflows.
* Automate governance, risk, and compliance processes for improved audit readiness and enterprise visibility.
* Support integration of IRM processes with CMDB, business applications, and operational data.

## Business Continuity Management (BCM)

* Design and implement BCM capabilities including:
  * Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
  * Continuity Planning
  * Recovery Management
  * Crisis Response Workflows
* Configure continuity plans, process dependencies, recovery objectives, and resilience workflows.
* Support continuity testing, simulation exercises, and recovery readiness initiatives.
* Enable operational resilience through integrated ServiceNow workflows and automation.

## Security Operations (SecOps)

* Lead implementations across ServiceNow SecOps modules including:
  * Security Incident Response (SIR)
  * Vulnerability Response
  * Threat Intelligence integrations
* Design workflows for incident triage, threat prioritization, vulnerability remediation, and coordinated response.
* Integrate ServiceNow with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
* Enable visibility into security posture, risk exposure, and operational KPIs through dashboards and reporting.

## Development & Integrations

* Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using:
  * JavaScript
  * Glide API
  * Script Includes
  * Business Rules
  * Client Scripts
  * Flow Designer
  * IntegrationHub
* Build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations with enterprise applications and security platforms.
* Design reusable workflows, automation components, and scalable integrations.
* Support platform upgrades, release activities, and performance improvements.

## Leadership & Governance

* Mentor developers and administrators across implementation and support activities.
* Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
* Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and ServiceNow development best practices.
* Collaborate with QA, DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams during deployments and production releases.

# Required Skills & Experience

* 10–16 years of overall IT experience with strong ServiceNow implementation and architecture expertise.
* Proven hands-on experience in:
  * IRM / GRC
  * BCM
  * SecOps
* Strong knowledge of:
  * JavaScript
  * Glide API
  * Flow Designer
  * ServiceNow scripting
  * REST/SOAP integrations
* Experience implementing:
  * Security Incident Response
  * Vulnerability Response
  * Risk & Compliance workflows
  * Business Continuity processes
* Good understanding of:
  * CMDB
  * Enterprise integrations
  * Security operations
  * Governance and compliance frameworks
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

# Preferred Skills

* Experience integrating ServiceNow with:
  * SIEM tools
  * Vulnerability scanners
  * Cloud security platforms
  * Identity and access management solutions
* Exposure to Operational Resilience frameworks.
* Experience working in enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.
* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL practices.

# Preferred Certifications

* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
* Certified Application Developer (CAD)
* CIS – Risk & Compliance (CIS-RC)
* Additional ServiceNow implementation or architect certifications preferred
