How is this Team contributing to the vision of Providence: 

Cybersecurity at Providence is responsible for appropriately protecting all information relating to its caregivers and affiliates, as well as protecting its confidential business information (including information relating to its caregivers, affiliates, and patients)

 

What will you be responsible for?

  • Responsible for building integrated solution for Security teams that includes robust, highly available and efficient frontend and backed solutions and frameworks.
  • End-to-end development and quality of solutions and services that delight caregivers and add strategic value to PSJH.
  • Develops complete designs and test interfaces that solve classes of problems, enable integration across groups of components, improve reuse, and satisfy business, caregiver, engineering, and operational requirements.
  • Manage and improve the engineering process, manage risks, dependencies, and compromises, and integrate software into broader ecosystems and/or solutions and services.
  • Driving design and code reviews and shares best practices across the team.
  • Enhance existing or designs new moderately complex features of solutions or services that consider the iteration and change required by the needs of the business.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, and maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance. - Stay ahead of with industry trends and emerging technologies

 

What would your work week look like?

  • Develop web portals with latest frontend and backend solutions that can integrate with Providence enterprise security solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and guidance to the team. Making critical decisions on software design, architecture and implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather ideas for building web applications for reporting and monitoring purposes.
  • Software Development: Taking an active role in coding, debugging, and testing complex code modules and features. Ensure high quality is deployed to production.
  • Identify and implement secure coding practices that aligns with industry standard frameworks such as NIST, CIS etc.
  • Set-up regular meeting with stakeholders to show progress of solutions that are getting built by following agile practices.
  • Clearly communicate roadmap, backlog, and team updates across the organization.
  • Providing guidance to other developers as necessary who are engaged in development tasks associated with the story.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in related filed, to include computer science, software development or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant post-qualification experience, with at least five (6) years of proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience in developing frontend solution in ReactJS, HTML/CSS, Dot Net.
  • Hands-on experience in backend frameworks and coding languages such as Python, JavaScript, NodeJS etc.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on in integrating and developing solutions with Databases such as MySQL, NoSQL etc.
  • Scripting or programming with Shell scripting, Power Shell, Python, KQL etc.
  • Must have a solid understanding on deploying the full stack solutions in public cloud providers, preferably in Azure.
  • Should have good understanding in GitHub, ADO integration and build automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Should have good understanding in implementing DevOps best practices while building solutions.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of API integrations, code testing, integration testing and UAT testing methods.
