Enterprise Information Security (EIS) is committed to appropriately protecting all information relating to its caregivers and affiliates, as well as protecting its confidential business information (including information relating to its caregivers, affiliates, and patients).


What will you be responsible for?

  • Advise, consult, and manage several complex projects under a common objective at Providence, under a single program (or across several programs) designed to support Providence to achieve strategic goals and initiatives, including but not limited to, Information Services (IS) operations, informatics, information security, project intake, growth & expansion, healthcare intelligence, integration, applications, and IT infrastructure.
  • Manage portfolio programs with very high complexity, strategic priority and/or visibility, system and/or regional priority – typically at an enterprise level.
  • Work with and facilitate processes to accomplish complex program objectives, managing change, and resolving issues that span across project teams and departments by planning, organizing, directing, and supervising program activities in a cost-effective and productive manner to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between business/region executive leadership and the resource managers of all IS teams and is responsible for engaging executive leadership and communicating the progress of the program.
  • Influence decisions in partnership with program leadership to ensure work toward common objectives.
  • Ensure projects related to the program are planned and executed in a manner that supports the Providence Mission and supports integration and collaboration across the health system while meeting the organizational objectives.
  • While operating independently, work collaboratively with business/region operational leadership, intake and governance teams, as well as IS groups required to deploy IS services and technology.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Information Security, Data Privacy, and IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) concepts and technologies.
  • Oversee a team of up to 10-12 caregivers.


What would your day look like?

  • Engage with Enterprise Information Security (EIS) and Providence Global Center in India.
  • Develop and own the business/region’s strategy and plans and ensure their relevance and currency.
  • Facilitate strategic planning with stakeholders for deployment or enhancement of information technologies and/or major services and products.
  • Develop projects within a program in alignment with the business/region’s strategic plans and objectives with little/no oversight from leadership.
  • Develop and gain sponsor approval for program/project budgets and delivery dates.
  • Proactively and independently manage stakeholder expectations for timelines and deliverables throughout the program/project lifecycle with little/no intervention from business/region leadership.
  • Proactively inform and influence others to maintain the balance required between business needs; project partner strategy and standards; and financial requirements and budgets with little/no direction from business/region leadership.
  • Engage and organize the assignment of activities of multi-functional, large-scale teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives, organizing necessary resources with little/no intervention from business/region leadership.
  • Pro-actively and independently develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
  • Maintain all program/project artifacts and set the standards for other program/project management resources on the program(s).

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum 12 years of experience in an Information Systems role.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Systems Security/Risk/Governance role.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in program/project management.
  • Preferred 3 years of Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) experience within a Healthcare, Pharma or Bio-Technology organization.
  • Ability to manage programs with the highest complexity and broadest breadth – typically at the enterprise-level.
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate between executive leadership, resource managers of all IS teams, project management and consulting resources.
  • Preferred CISSP, CISM or equivalent Information Security Management certifications.
  • Preferred PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certifications. Six Sigma (Lean) or CQIA (Quality Improvement Associate) certifications.
