Enterprise Information Security (EIS) is committed to appropriately protecting all information relating to its caregivers and affiliates, as well as protecting its confidential business information (including information relating to its caregivers, affiliates, and patients).

 

What will you be responsible for?

  • Understand and deploy EIS vision within Data Protection (DP) function.
  • Develop/enhance and implement data protection/security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned to their business, technology, and threat drivers.
  • Advocate Information Services (IS) and Enterprise Information Security (EIS) goals and commitments for data protection/security.
  • As the engineering lead, facilitate strategic planning with stakeholders (business/facility operational leadership, intake, and governance teams, IS groups etc.) for deployment or enhancement of information technologies and/or major solutions and services.
  • Accountable for development, delivery and quality of assigned solutions and services to accomplish function objectives; helping deliver solutions delighting caregivers, improving patient experience and add strategic value to Providence.
  • Influence decisions in partnership with program leadership to ensure work toward common objectives.
  • Provide responsive leadership to delegate, coordinate, and motivate staff; evaluate performance for direct reports and for contractors/other peoples’ direct reports; work with individuals and HR to improve performance as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for engineering teams of up to 15 caregivers.
  • Consistently demonstrate a sense of accountability for the quality and completeness of entire solutions/ service and resulting caregiver experience.
  • Build and track Data Protection related KPIs and risk-based metrics and assist with reporting on those metrics to senior management on regular basis.
  • Define and drive mitigation controls for identified risks across the organization.

 

What would your day look like?

  • Engage with Enterprise Information Security (EIS) and Providence Global Center in India.
  • Identify areas of automation within assigned solutions and services and drive them towards completion. Reduce Operational issues by improving Engineering practices.
  • Work closely with the Agile Program Manager to prioritize out backlog (epics/features/user stories) and engineering plans, including specs and design collateral.
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with a maximum value that are aligned with the function’s strategy.
  • Participate in design, code/config, and test planning and reviews across the feature area, understand the root causes of issues, and find ways to resolve them.
  • Engage and organize the assignment of activities of multi-functional, large-scale teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.
  • Adhere to the Providence engineering’s quality criteria for assigned solutions and services, using measurements and insights to understand and validate the quality of experience for caregivers. Pro-actively and independently develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
  • Coordinate with Architects, Scrum Master and Dev Leads to help deliver robust solutions.

 

Who are we looking for?

  • 4-year University (Bachelor’s) degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in an Information Systems role.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Engineering Manager Role, with minimum 5 years in Agile mode.
  • Preferred 3 years of experience of Solution or Service Engineering within a Healthcare, Pharma or Bio-Technology organization.
  • Excellent analytical and business articulation skills with proven track record of collaborative design in an Agile team environment.
  • Deep knowledge of at least two data protection/security capabilities such as Database Activity Monitoring, Data Access Governance (SailPoint, Stealthbits, Varonis etc.), Data Classification (Boldon James, Microsoft Information Protection, TITUS etc.), Data Loss Prevention (Forcepoint, McAfee, Symantec etc.), Information Rights Management (Microsoft Information Protection, Seclore, Vera etc.), Enterprise DLP (SaaS-based, network based or on-prem), Enterprise DRM, Office 365 data security capabilities.

Understanding of CASB capabilities (API-based and inline) and deep knowledge of Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS).

  • Preferred knowledge of data security laws and standards (HIPAA, CCPA, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, NIST SP 800-53 and Privacy Framework).
  • CDPSE certification and/or expertise.
