Job Summary – Sr Manager - Epic Program Management:

We are seeking an experienced leader to establish and lead the Epic Program Management function at PGC. This role will drive strategic healthcare technology programs involving Epic implementations, integrations, and operational management. The leader will identify and develop Epic-related opportunities that can be supported from PGC to reduce administrative burden, enhance caregiver productivity, and improve care delivery outcomes. The role requires deep expertise in program planning and execution, organizational design, talent acquisition and development, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and go-live leadership, with a strong focus on quality, timelines, and organizational readiness.

Experience:

Demonstrated experience leading complex Epic or healthcare IT implementations, with strengths in governance, delivery management, stakeholder alignment, and successful go-live execution. Comprehensive lifecycle implementation experience and deep expertise in one or more Epic modules are essential.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 12+ years of IT experience in healthcare domain, including experience leading teams.
  • Program management experience leading Epic or healthcare technology implementations.
  • Proven expertise in governance, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional delivery.
  • Experience managing the full implementation lifecycle, including planning, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
  • Working knowledge of at least one Epic module and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Epic certification or advanced expertise in one or more Epic modules.
  • Experience with training strategy, team capability development, or certification planning.
  • Exposure to pre-sales support, estimation, staffing strategy, or roadmap planning.
  • Familiarity with healthcare operations, clinical workflows, or provider environments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategic planning activities, including effort estimation, staffing strategy, pre-sales support, and delivery roadmap development. 
  • Lead Epic implementation programs across the full lifecycle, spanning planning, design, build, testing, training, cutover, go-live, stabilization, and post-implementation support. 
  • Establish and drive program governance, stakeholder alignment, and executive communications across business, clinical, technology, Epic, and external health system teams. 
  • Oversee program execution, including onboarding, scope management, resource planning, environment readiness, milestone delivery, and operational coordination. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more Epic modules, providing guidance on solution design, implementation strategy, and delivery best practices. 
  • Develop team capabilities through training, certification planning, knowledge sharing, and mentoring initiatives. 
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations to ensure successful delivery outcomes, quality, and schedule adherence. 
  • Apply implementation best practices and lessons learned to improve delivery efficiency, strengthen execution, and drive continuous improvement.
