Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Linux Servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) across Production, Development, and Test environments, ensuring system stability and optimal performance.
  • Configure and maintain disks with expertise in Logical Volume Management (LVM) and managing physical disks for optimal storage solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, addressing server issues, and ensuring high availability and uptime.
  • Perform security hardening of Linux servers by applying patches, managing vulnerabilities, and performing OS upgrades.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring compliance with security policies and access control best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Linux servers and environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Automate infrastructure management using Ansible, creating and maintaining playbooks and roles for system provisioning, configuration, and deployments.
  • Integrate Ansible with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) for seamless automation across environments.
  • Version control Ansible playbooks and roles using Git or other tools, ensuring reliable and consistent infrastructure code management.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement scalable and automated solutions, ensuring environments are consistent across Dev, Test, and Production.
  • Hands-on experience with shell scripting for automating daily tasks, system configurations, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Must have basic knowledge of VMware and Azure for managing virtualized environments and hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in Linux System Administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Proficiency in disk management (LVM, physical disk management) and Linux file systems.
  • Experience with Ansible Automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and patch deployment.
  • Strong understanding of Linux security hardening, vulnerability management, and OS upgrades.
  • Proficiency in shell scripting to automate routine system tasks and configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git for managing infrastructure code.
  • Basic understanding of VMware and Azure for managing virtual and cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD integration with Ansible for streamlined automation and deployments.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
  • Ansible Certification (Ansible for DevOps) or equivalent automation certifications.
  • Azure Fundamentals or similar cloud certifications.
