What will you be responsible for?
- As Service Engineer you would be responsible for complete ownership of Own the service design maturity of the components from E2E perspective covering the DevOps, deployment pipelines, monitoring of production, resiliency, performance, high availability, and reliability
- Maintaining the Infrastructure, Security, Patching, Compliance, Governance on the components of ownership.
- Provide SE thought leadership from Service Design Maturity perspective into the platform roadmap, feature delivery, accountability for application architecture, Cloud design, Infrastructures development and end to end implementation.
- Own the platform environments and identify opportunities to evolve towards ZDD, One Click Deploy, Security implementations and end to end automations to eliminate manual toil.
- Participate in Conducting and Maintain periodic DR exercises for the Product and Platform and ensuring System Resiliency, HA and confidence in Product Stability in Production
What would your day look like?
- Closely work with team on the delivery, roadmap execution while continuously looking to evolve the Service Maturity of the product.
- Understand the business and define what is technically needed to meet strategic objectives and the day-to-day running of the service. This includes identification and innovation of new service capabilities that meets customer and security requirements.
- Identify service improvements and develop and design tools that will streamline the service to improve end-user experiences and lower operating costs.
- Partner with Software Engineering, Security Architects and Product Management team for Quality of Service.
- Ensure production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure, and effective and that
- implemented solutions are continuously monitored and documented.
- Partner with Global Engineering teams on shared goals and focus on the outcomes with a collaborative mindset.
- Actively take part in disaster recovery drills and in improving methods. Participate as needed in incident response management including during non-working hours.
Who are we looking for?
- Strong scripting and coding skills including one or more of the following: PowerShell DSC/ Python or programming languages such as C#
- Experience CI\CD concepts and hands on implementations experiences, specifically ADO/GIT, Bicep/Terraform(IAAS)
- ability to analyze Telemetry insights.
- Knowledge in administration, installation and debugging App services, SQL Server (On prem or on Azure), Kubernetes, Service Fabric, Containers, and working experience on azure services
- Strong understanding of Azure migration, Azure Site Recovery and implementation of critical Disaster recovery methods.
- Strong Knowledge to SQL (On-Pre and Azure), Power BI, Databricks, Ability to write SQL queries, with knowledge of RDBMS concepts.
- Experience in alert and monitoring, using different tools and implement custom solutions to enable application alerts.
- Hands on experience with Windows and Linux VM’s , backup and recovery.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills: with the ability to grasp complex concepts and the ability to explain them effectively
- Critical thinking skills to understand a current problem and Problem management skill on repetitive issues with recommendations which could incorporate effective problem
