Organization Background:

The Cloud Engineering and Ops team drives cloud migrations, engineering and OnPrem hosting, compute, storage data protection, data engineering for the Technology, Engineering & Operations organization. We support OnPrem and Azure cloud infra running Windows, Linux VM’s and SQL or Oracle databases.

 

 

What will you be responsible for?

  • Lead end-to-end ownership of MEMCM Server Patching across enterprise environments, ensuring compliance with organizational SLAs and security standards
  • Act as primary escalation point for technical and process escalations, driving resolution with minimal supervision
  • Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for Major Incidents and recurring patch failures; implement preventive measures
  • Design and optimize patch deployment strategies, collections, and Configuration Items in MEMCM
  • Drive vulnerability remediation programs leveraging Rapid7 and integrate findings into patching and remediation workflows
  • Collaborate with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to ensure risk-based patch prioritization and compliance
  • Lead automation and process improvements in patching, reporting, and remediation
  • Ensure post-patching validation, monitoring, and compliance reporting through dashboards and enterprise tools
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide L1/L2 teams on troubleshooting, best practices, and process adherence

 

What would your day look like?

  • Lead and oversee enterprise-wide Windows and Third-Party patch deployments using MEMCM
  • Drive complex troubleshooting scenarios related to patch failures, compliance issues, and infrastructure challenges
  • Architect and implement modern patching solutions (e.g., Azure Update Manager, Azure Arc, hybrid cloud patching models)
  • Perform advanced RCA and problem management, ensuring long-term fixes and knowledge documentation
  • Define and execute Get Current / Stay Current strategies for patch compliance across environments
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell/Python) to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in global delivery models and Agile/feature crew setup
  • Analyze vulnerability data and lead large-scale remediation efforts with measurable outcomes
  • Contribute to process governance, standards, and innovation initiatives in patching and vulnerability management

 

Who are we looking for?

  • 7–10 years of experience in enterprise patching, vulnerability management, and infrastructure operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with MEMCM (latest branches) and deep understanding of its architecture, components, and workflows
  • Proven experience in designing and optimizing patch management solutions in large-scale environments
  • Strong expertise in Vulnerability Management lifecycle, including integration with tools like Rapid7
  • Hands-on experience in Application Deployment, Patch Management, Task Sequencing, and Software Distribution
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows Server environments, MEMCM infrastructure, and related topologies
  • Experience with Cloud technologies (Azure, AUM, Azure Arc) and hybrid infrastructure
  • Strong scripting expertise (PowerShell/Python) for automation and remediation
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with global stakeholders
  • Experience in Agile/feature crew models and driving cross-team collaboration
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives, mentor teams, and drive continuous improvement
