Senior Service Engineering Manager
What will you be responsible for?
- Build, grow, and nurture a team of talented engineers working on OnPrem and Cloud Compute Infrastucture
- Work as a key member of a tightknit leadership team to create a high performing team that will drive necessary change and leadership, in a consistent way, throughout the organization
- Ensure production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure and effective and that implemented solutions are continuously monitored and documented
- Establish operational foundations, defining metrics and KPIs to drive governance, quality, and efficiency. Influence and improve existing processes through innovation and operational change
- Be a thought leader in identifying opportunities and drive automation to improve service health, manageability and reliability
- Build Cloud First solutions to help Organization adopt Cloud services as part of Modernization journey
What would your day look like?
- As a Technical Manager, should be capable of designing and providing technical guidance to team members with ability to understand the technical details of a complex area and provide solutions
- Using Automation as primary method to drive modernization, optimization and building a secure Infrastructure
- Manage and lead a diverse and inclusive team of Service Engineers and Developers, with focus on team performance.
- Enable an environment in which people can do their best work, ensuring team has collaboration skills, technical expertise, agility and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Foster a strong partnership between technical support teams and stakeholders in other parts of the business
- Partner with global peers to ensure consistency and follow-through for global processes and coordination of resources
- Create an inclusive environment to attract and retain diverse and high-performing engineers.
- Conduct employee assessment discussions, provide coaching, share feedback regularly and partner with employees on career development.
Who are we looking for?
- 12+ years managing enterprise Infrastructure space including 3+ years of people management experience with managing team of at least 8 to 10 people
- Have deep exposure and expertise in managing OnPrem and Azure Infrastructure consisting of Windows, Linux, VMWare, HyperV etc
- Experience in transforming OnPrem environments to Cloud
- Good networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, IP addressing & Subnetting, HTTP(S), FTP, SMTP, VPN)
- Manage the cloud infrastructure environment through cross technology administration (OS, databases, virtual networks), execution of scripting and monitoring automations
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues required.
- Knowledge of automation technologies, methods, and processes used for quality and cost improvements.
- Experience on Azure Runbooks, functions, LA, Logic Apps, Logic monitoring etc
- Ability to work in ambiguous work environment with global team setup
- Experience working in feature crew model, knowledge of Agile framework
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing landscape and acquire new skills with technology advancement
