Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Exchange Engineer to design, implement, and manage Microsoft Exchange infrastructure within our organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Exchange Server administration, Microsoft 365 integration, hybrid environments, and email security. This role requires a proactive approach to optimizing email services while ensuring security, compliance, and high availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Microsoft Exchange environments, including on-premises, hybrid, and Exchange Online deployments.
- Manage email security, spam filtering, and threat protection solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Exchange-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Implement governance policies, security settings, and compliance controls for email communication.
- Support and maintain Exchange hybrid configurations, including mail flow, connectors, and hybrid coexistence.
- Integrate Exchange with Microsoft 365 applications and third-party email solutions.
- Provide end-user support, training, and best practices for email management and security.
- Monitor service health, performance, and capacity planning for Exchange environments.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to implement email encryption, data loss prevention (DLP), and retention policies.
- Stay up to date with Exchange updates, new features, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience managing and supporting Microsoft Exchange in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise in Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Exchange Online.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, including Azure AD, Intune, and Security & Compliance features.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Familiarity with email archiving, backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train and support end-users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-203: Microsoft 365 Messaging or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
- Experience with third-party email security solutions (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast, Barracuda, Cisco).
- Background in ITIL practices and service management.
- Experience working in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
