Job Title: Sr. Service Engineer - Teams 

Location: [Hyderabad] Job Type: [Full-time/Contract] Department: ESI Reports To: IT Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Teams Engineer to design, implement, and manage Microsoft Teams infrastructure within our organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Microsoft Teams administration, integration with Microsoft 365, voice and telephony solutions, and end-user support. This role requires a proactive approach to improving communication and collaboration experiences while ensuring security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Microsoft Teams, including chat, collaboration, telephony, and integrations.
  • Support and manage Microsoft Teams Phone System, Direct Routing, and Calling Plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Teams-related issues, including connectivity, performance, and user experience concerns.
  • Integrate Teams with Microsoft 365 applications (SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook) and third-party tools.
  • Implement governance policies, security settings, and compliance controls within Teams.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and best practices to enhance adoption.
  • Monitor Teams service health and performance, responding to incidents and escalations.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure Teams environments align with organizational security policies.
  • Manage Teams Rooms deployments and collaboration hardware (e.g., conferencing devices, headsets, cameras).
  • Stay up to date with Microsoft Teams updates, new features, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing and supporting Microsoft Teams in an enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Teams Phone System, Direct Routing, and voice/video conferencing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as QoS, firewall rules, and SIP protocols for Teams telephony.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms, device management, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to train and support end-users.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams or Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert.
  • Experience with third-party integrations, bots, and Teams App development.
  • Background in ITIL practices and service management.
  • Experience working in hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
