Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled SharePoint Online Engineer to design, implement, and manage Microsoft SharePoint Online solutions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SharePoint administration, integration with Microsoft 365, governance, security, and end-user support. This role requires a proactive approach to optimizing document management, collaboration, and workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including sites, libraries, lists, and permissions.
- Implement governance policies, security settings, and compliance controls for SharePoint Online.
- Develop and maintain workflows, automation, and integrations using Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues, including performance optimization and user access concerns.
- Integrate SharePoint Online with Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook) and third-party tools.
- Provide end-user training, documentation, and best practices to enhance SharePoint adoption.
- Monitor SharePoint service health and performance, responding to incidents and escalations.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to implement data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, and access controls.
- Stay up to date with SharePoint Online updates, new features, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience managing and supporting SharePoint Online in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise in SharePoint administration, permissions management, and content lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, including Azure AD, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, and Power Apps development.
- Familiarity with site migrations, SharePoint Online security, and compliance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to train and support end-users.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-040: Managing Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive or Microsoft 365 Certified: Teamwork Administrator Associate.
- Experience with third-party SharePoint migration and backup tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix, AvePoint).
- Background in ITIL practices and service management.
- Experience working in hybrid SharePoint environments.
