Senior Analyst Investments– Global Finance Operations

The Senior Analyst for Global Finance Operations plays a crucial role in performing the work to maintain and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position includes performing operations, meeting SLA and targets, data analysis, report generation, and collaboration with various stakeholders to support the operation.
Key Responsibilities
•Work closely with the global stakeholders to process and ensure accurate recording (Accruals, Amortization, Allocation, Reclass, etc), reporting, consolidation and analyzing reports pertaining to Investment accounting.
•Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations covering Investment and related account. Closely monitor and resolve all aged open items and make sure balance is properly supported.
•Active participation in performing the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process related to Investment.
•Working on Investment valuation on investment in Joint Ventures, booking of impairment, reversal of impairment.
•Ensure accurate accounting for investments like stocks, bonds & other financial instrument for purchase, sale & transfer.
•Accounting for interest income, Dividend, other charges.
•Experience and understanding of ASC 860 Financial instruments would be a plus.
•Ensure accurate accounting for borrowings like Short term or Long term bank loans, bonds & other financial instrument for issuance, redemption & conversion.
•Accounting for interest expense & other charges.
•Preparing monthly close reports & variance analysis of various Providence entities to ensure the numbers are materially accurate
•Periodic updation of SOP's to make sure any process changes, exceptions and new learnings are updated timely.
•Perform Investment, related audit deliverables during audit.
• Extract, modify and analyze monthly reports as required and resolve queries.

Who are we looking for?
• Preferably CMA / MBA / M.com / Semi qualified with 3 to 5 years (or) CA / CPA with 1 to 2 years of experience in Investment accounting
