Education: Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies

 

Responsibility: Supports the administration of leave programs and policies in accordance with applicable federal, state and municipal leave laws and regulations. • Provides leadership and direction to a multi-disciplinary team that specialize in quality, case auditing, training, escalation responses, departmental knowledge and policy (regulatory, departmental and organizational), and content compliance and auditing for both paid and unpaid leave and accommodation case management. • Manages the performance of team to applicable SLA's, SOP's and compliance with both statutory law and organizational policies/procedures.
• Accountable for talent acquisition, development, retention and performance management. • Establishes and maintains a supportive learning and development culture within the team in an inclusive environment. • Maintains active involvement in the team's work and worfklow distribution, sets key metrics and plans, assigns work and manages individual performance. • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

 

Skills: Proven ability to work with a diverse group of people, experience with managing remote direct reports is a plus • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating effectively with a wide variety of internal and external business partners. • Strong technology and mathematical skills • Effectively utilizes legal resources to comprehend and interpret legal and medical terminology to make decisions relevant to additional investigation and decision-making on cases. • Detail oriented with documentation, reporting and communications (written and verbal). • Strong conflict management and resolution skills • Ability to manage performance of direct reports in a constructive manner • Ability to deliver and support change management, and also build commitment and acceptance of change

 

Additional requirement: Experience in : Leave and Disability Case Management in a carrier or self-administered employer environment
Experience in policy and content development and interpretation
Management experience in a related industry or large employer environment preferred
