Description:

The Senior Principal Engineering Program Manager within Cybersecurity’s MIS will lead the Identity and Access Lifecycle Management (IALM) service within Identity and Access Management.   This leadership role will work hand in hand with Engineering leadership and peer Program Management at the Providence Global Center and in the US to drive forward an enterprise wide, highly visible Identity Governance Administration program.  In partnership with key stakeholders, you will focus on implementing enterprise-wide processes and solutions to mature Providence’s identity management solution, develop strategies and roadmaps, manage, and maintain the health of the IALM environment to progress the program’s strategic direction. 

 

What will you be responsible for?

  • Act as the Cybersecurity (CYBR) liaison for Providence businesses/entities, integrate security into business/entity scope, strategy, programs, and operations.
  • Manage and coordinate cross functionality across security teams and stakeholders to successfully deliver Identity and Access Lifecycle Management (IALM) capabilities.
  • Drive critical IALM workstreams ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and continuing to progress the programs strategic direction.
  • Ensure IALM goals align with the mission and goals of Identity and Access Management
  • Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects/programs and associated workstreams.
  • Decide and deliver suitable short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Manage program and product issues, risks, and changes to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Deliver issues and risk tracking and resolution, decision logs, communication plans and other program documentation.
  • Engage with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent.
  • Deliver change management and communication strategies.
  • Establish and monitor program metrics and evaluation methods to assess strengths, identify opportunities of improvement as well as timely reporting of program throughout its lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present reports for program sponsors and executive leaders.
  • Resolve program scope issues and deadlines.
  • Lead efforts to define epics, features, and create user stories, ensuring delivery of business value.
  • Act as a coach, mentor, and role model to other program managers and engineering teams
  • Support and guide others in working in a global service delivery model.
  • What would your day look like?

  • Develop and drive PMO engagement within security programs and services in alignment with its strategic plans and objectives with little/no oversight from leadership.
  • While operating independently, work collaboratively with business/entity operational leadership, intake, and governance teams, as well as Cybersecurity teams required to deploy security services and technologies.
  • Ensure optimum and efficient delivery of security services and issue/risk management to business/entity programs and operations.
  • Advise, consult, and manage several complex projects under a common objective at Providence, under a single program (or across several programs) designed to support Providence to achieve Cybersecurity vision and priorities.
  • Work with and facilitate processes to accomplish complex program objectives, manage change, and resolve issues that span across project teams and departments by planning, organizing, directing, and supervising program activities in a cost-effective and productive manner to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Engage and organize the assignment of activities of multi-functional, large-scale teams, as well as the project estimates, task dependencies and schedule.
  • Proactively and independently manage stakeholder expectations for timelines and deliverables throughout the program/project lifecycle with little/no intervention from business/entity leadership.
  • Influence decisions in partnership with CYBR leadership to ensure work toward common objectives.
  • Proactively inform and influence others to maintain the balance required between business needs; CYBR strategy and priorities; and financial requirements and budgets with little/no direction from business/entity leadership.
  • Maintain all program/project artifacts and set the standards for other program/project management resources on the program(s).
  • Pro-actively and independently develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
  • Communicate and summarize status of security programs and services, and progress toward major initiatives to leadership as well as to direct and indirect reports.
  • Partner with the IS leadership team in various areas such as strategy, architecture, programs, policies, critical infrastructure and applications, and Healthcare.
  • Drive accountable areas for results. Take ownership of the environment, teams, operations, initiatives, and projects within areas of accountability, sometimes in ambiguous circumstances.
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives, organizing necessary resources with little/no intervention from business/entity leadership.

Who are we looking for?

  • 4-year University (Bachelor’s) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or STEM fields, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of Information Systems experience. 7+ years of Program/Project Management experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience. 
  • Preferred few years of Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) experience within a Healthcare, Pharma or Bio-Technology organization.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate (coherent, completeness, logical) to executive leaders and individual team members, catering their message accordingly.
  • Ability to manage programs with the highest complexity and broadest breadth – typically at the enterprise-level.
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate between executive leadership, resource managers of all IS teams, project management and consulting resources.
  • Thorough understanding of PM practices; strong Agile experience, knowledge and expertise. Preferred knowledge of ADO.
  • Working knowledge of Information Security, Data Privacy, and Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) concepts and technologies.
  • Preferred Project/Program Management (PMP, PgMP, etc.), Agile Scrum (PSM I, PMI-ACP, SAFe SSM, etc.) certifications.
