This team plays a pivotal role in advancing Providence’s vision by delivering innovative, user-centered digital experiences. Comprising Engineers, Producers, QA specialists, and Project Managers, the team is dedicated to building scalable, secure, and high-performing web platforms that empower patients, enhance digital engagement, and elevate stakeholder satisfaction..

What will you be responsible for?

The Senior SDET Engineer serves as a quality advocate, ensuring web solutions meet high standards of performance, security, and user experience. They design and execute manual and automated tests for enterprise CMS platforms using tools like Selenium and Playwright, while managing test activities in Azure DevOps within an Agile environment. They also support CI/CD pipelines, uphold compliance standards, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to catch issues early. Through their technical expertise and proactive approach, they help deliver seamless, user-centered digital experiences that align with Providence’s mission of empowering patients and enhancing digital engagement.

What would your week look like?

  • Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups to align on testing priorities and team goals.
  • Review requirements and design detailed manual and automated test cases for new features.
  • Execute manual tests and log defects, collaborating with developers for quick resolution.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium and Playwright.
  • Manage and track test activities using Azure DevOps in an Agile environment.
  • Run regression test suites and monitor CI/CD pipelines for test execution and stability.
  • Ensure compliance with performance, security, and accessibility standards.
  • Document test results, update test plans, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Continuously explore new tools, frameworks, and best practices to improve test efficiency.

Who we are looking for?

  • 6-9 years of experience in software QA, with a strong focus on manual and automation testing. 
  • Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar. 
  • Experience testing enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test case management, bug tracking, and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured). 
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter). 
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications.
