What will you be responsible for?
The Senior SDET Engineer serves as a quality advocate, ensuring web solutions meet high standards of performance, security, and user experience. They design and execute manual and automated tests for enterprise CMS platforms using tools like Selenium and Playwright, while managing test activities in Azure DevOps within an Agile environment. They also support CI/CD pipelines, uphold compliance standards, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to catch issues early. Through their technical expertise and proactive approach, they help deliver seamless, user-centered digital experiences that align with Providence’s mission of empowering patients and enhancing digital engagement.
What would your week look like?
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during sprint planning, refinements, and daily stand-ups to align on scope, risks, and testing strategy.
- Review requirements and design detailed manual and automated test cases aligned with acceptance criteria and business outcomes.
- Execute manual tests, log high-quality defects, and partner with developers to drive timely resolution.
- Build, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts using tools such as Selenium and Playwright.
- Manage and track test execution, defects, and quality metrics using Azure DevOps in an Agile environment.
- Integrate and monitor automated tests within CI/CD pipelines, ensuring stable and reliable regression coverage.
- Validate solutions against performance, security, accessibility, and compliance standards.
- Document test results, maintain test plans, and contribute to knowledge sharing and quality best practices.
- Continuously evaluate tools, frameworks, and processes to improve test efficiency and overall product quality.
Who we are looking for?
- 6-9 years of experience in software QA, with a strong focus on manual and automation testing.
- Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
- Experience testing enterprise CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.).
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test case management, bug tracking, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- ISTQB or other QA certifications.
