Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a skilled SharePoint Administrator to manage and maintain Microsoft SharePoint Online and On-Premises environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and governance of SharePoint sites while supporting end-users and business teams with collaboration solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

SharePoint Administration & Configuration:

  • Manage and maintain SharePoint Online (M365) and SharePoint Server (2016/2019).
  • Configure site collections, content databases, web applications, and site settings.
  • Implement SharePoint permissions, security groups, and user access controls.
  • Monitor and optimize SharePoint performance, indexing, and search functionalities.
  • Oversee SharePoint integrations with Teams, OneDrive, Power Automate, and third-party apps.

Security, Compliance & Governance:

  • Implement security best practices including DLP (Data Loss Prevention), Conditional Access, and MFA.
  • Monitor and manage SharePoint security configurations, retention policies, and access reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Maintain audit logs, version control, and activity tracking to prevent data leaks.

Customization & Automation:

  • Develop and maintain Power Automate workflows for business process automation.
  • Customize SharePoint lists, libraries, and forms using PowerApps, JSON, and SharePoint Designer.
  • Manage SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solutions, scripts, and custom web parts.
  • Work with developers to support custom SharePoint apps and APIs (Graph API, REST API).

Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Support:

  • Monitor SharePoint health, performance, and availability using Microsoft 365 Admin Center and PowerShell.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve site access issues, performance bottlenecks, and document synchronization problems.
  • Provide L2/L3 support for escalated SharePoint-related issues.
  • Work with Microsoft Support (Premier Support cases) as needed.

Training, Documentation & Collaboration:

  • Document SharePoint configurations, governance policies, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Train end-users and business teams on SharePoint best practices and self-service capabilities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to improve SharePoint functionality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • 6-9 years of experience in SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, site collections, libraries, lists, workflows, and permissions.
  • Experience with Power Automate, PowerApps, and SharePoint Designer.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration and automation.
  • Understanding of SharePoint security, compliance, and access controls.
  • Familiarity with OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint integration.
  • Experience with search configuration, metadata management, and content indexing.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration tools (ShareGate, Quest, AvePoint, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server for SharePoint database management (for on-prem environments).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Viva, Syntex, and AI-based content services.
  • Understanding of hybrid SharePoint environments and Azure AD synchronization.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced IT environment.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on resolving technical issues efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate) or MS-040 (Configuring Microsoft SharePoint Hybrid).
