Job Description – ServiceNow Developer

IRM / BCM / SecOps

Experience: 6–12 Years
Location: Hyderabad
Employment Type: Full-Time


Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Developer with strong hands-on experience in Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Business Continuity Management (BCM), and Security Operations (SecOps) to design, develop, configure, and support enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess strong ServiceNow platform development expertise, experience working on security and governance workflows, and the ability to deliver scalable and high-quality solutions aligned with business and compliance requirements.


Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development

  • Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules across IRM, BCM, and SecOps.
  • Develop solutions using:
    • JavaScript
    • Glide API
    • Script Includes
    • Business Rules
    • Client Scripts
    • UI Policies
    • Flow Designer
    • IntegrationHub
  • Build reusable components and scalable workflows following ServiceNow best practices.

IRM / GRC Development

  • Implement and customize ServiceNow IRM capabilities including:
    • Risk Management
    • Policy & Compliance
    • Audit Management
    • Regulatory Change workflows
  • Configure risk registers, controls, indicators, assessments, and issue remediation workflows.
  • Support automation of governance and compliance processes.

Business Continuity Management (BCM)

  • Configure and support BCM solutions including:
    • Business Continuity Plans
    • Business Impact Analysis
    • Recovery workflows
    • Crisis management processes
  • Develop workflows and notifications for disruption management and operational resilience.
  • Support continuity testing and recovery readiness activities.

Security Operations (SecOps)

  • Develop and enhance ServiceNow SecOps modules including:
    • Security Incident Response (SIR)
    • Vulnerability Response
    • Threat Intelligence integrations
  • Configure workflows for security incident triage, remediation, and escalation.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and monitoring platforms.
  • Support vulnerability and threat management automation.

Integrations & Automation

  • Develop REST/SOAP integrations with enterprise and security applications.
  • Configure IntegrationHub and MID Server-based integrations.
  • Automate operational and security workflows using Flow Designer.
  • Support data synchronization between ServiceNow and external systems.

Platform Support & Governance

  • Participate in code reviews and follow ServiceNow development standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and defects.
  • Support upgrades, patches, releases, and deployment activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation and support testing activities.
  • Collaborate with architects, QA teams, administrators, and business stakeholders during implementations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–12 years of overall IT experience with strong ServiceNow development expertise.
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • IRM / GRC
    • BCM
    • SecOps
  • Strong expertise in:
    • JavaScript
    • Glide API
    • Flow Designer
    • IntegrationHub
    • ServiceNow scripting
  • Experience working on:
    • Security Incident Response
    • Vulnerability Response
    • Risk and Compliance workflows
    • Business Continuity processes
  • Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and MID Server configurations.
  • Good understanding of CMDB and ServiceNow platform architecture.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Operational Resilience frameworks.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with SIEM or security monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise governance frameworks.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and security operations is an added advantage.

Preferred Certifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • CIS – Risk & Compliance (preferred)
